First thought. A fire breaks out in the Core network area. Perhaps a 6509 bursts into flames. That brings the network down or at the very least makes the spanning tree crap the bed for a good minute and a half. The alarm doesn't go off (at least not in a timely manner) and people die. Looking back do you wish you had just nodded when they said someone was cabling the building for fire/emergency alarms?
