I boot my MSFC2 in the lab off of slot0 and it works fine!! Get a console connection on the sup and do a "switch con 15". Then do a reload and see why it is failing.
If your MSFC is in the boot mode you do need to bring up an active VLAN or you will never get the image off of the sup-slot0. Dave Alberto J.
