Hi Group, I turn on ntp on my routers and I did a "debug ntp validity". I keep getting the following message from the other routers. I have this router that generate the message point to an ntp server. and the rest of the routers point to this router for time. Aug 8 18:41:43: NTP: packet from 192.1.4.1 failed validity tests E2 Aug 8 18:42:07: NTP: packet from 212.1.1.6 failed validity tests E2 Aug 8 18:42:29: NTP: packet from 212.1.1.26 failed validity tests 42 Aug 8 18:42:39: NTP: packet from 212.1.1.14 failed validity tests 42 Aug 8 18:42:47: NTP: packet from 192.1.4.1 failed validity tests E2 Aug 8 18:43:11: NTP: packet from 212.1.1.6 failed validity tests E2 Aug 8 18:43:33: NTP: packet from 212.1.1.26 failed validity tests 42 The time did get sync though. What does the message means ?
