Warren, You are right about CCSP self study guide for the CSPFA exam (Cisco Press). I get one, and it has not enough needed topics. I used it and Cisco Security Specialist's Guide to PIX Firewalls (Syngress ISBN 1-931836-63-9) and Cisco PIX Firewalls (Richard A. Deal, ISBN 0-07-222523-8) to pass the exam. And, I like the Deal's one better because you will get more help for VPN exam later then.
I have both Network Security Principles and Practices for the CCIE security exam and CCIE Self-Study CCIE Practical Studies: Security. The later one is more accurated and I like it better since it get newer materials in. You can find out when you read CCIE books, they are real good for CCIE candidates with more advanced topics than what's in the CCSP books. But, that doesn't mean they go over more in depth topics on PIX than CCSP books. Three above PIX books for CCSP do. Sorry for my poor English! Have fun in study and good luck for the exam.
