Ok, but it is still not clear why doesn't it work without ATM.
The idea is to use PPPoE in ethernet environment (with xDSL ethernet
bridges, etc) to provide authentication and traffic accounting/billing.
Of course I can use NetFlow to measure per-user traffic, but in such case we
have to build some proprietary solution to authenticate users.
There is no ATM, in any way...
