You would gain some bandwidth, but are you really going to use 400mbps
Full-duplex into your router? Is youre router that fast?

(2 ports x 100 mbps x 2 (Full Duplex))

You would probably do more to increase the bandwith of you network by
implementing Vlans and breaking up the broadcast domains.

Greetings,

I'm looking at a router/switch setup and I need some help please. Is there
a benefit for a switch to be connected to the same router on two different
ports (besides Ether channel)?

I've 2513 connected to a WS-C4003 via both Ethernet 0 and 1. Ethernet0 has
IP only and Ethernet1 IPX only. I would like to know the advantages and
disadvantages of this setup.

Thanks,

Nabil
