http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/29.html try to set up bvi running irb or set up port-channels for the routing table. The interfaces are like interfaces on a router, you can not assign them to the same network. I believe conceptually the 2948g-l3 is built of off the 6500 arcetecture like the 4006 with the RSM is like the 5500. Hope this helps, Matt -----Original Message----- From: tony yj [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, September 28, 2000 1:30 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: ping problemn. i use a CAT2948-3L to connect to hosts.i think it could use as a layer2 switch but it failed. so i use ip addressing and routing.the address of F1 and F2 is 192.9.200.20 to 21,but it tell me "192.9.200.0 overlaps......"and i can't assign the address to F2 after assign F1 with 192.9.200.20 the two hosts to be connected can ping themselves.what's the problem? great thanx tony yin **NOTE: New CCNA/CCDA List has been formed.
