Actually, the total bandwidth depends on the line coding and framing on a T1
circuit.
b8zs with esf gives you 64k per channel
use ami with sf (sometimes called d4), and you loose bandwidth to signaling,
so you just get 56k per channel
This is the way I learned anyway..I could always be wrong.
