I have taken both the BCMSN and BSCN courses from Mentor. I chose them
because of the high level of expertise of their instructors. The classes
were excellent.
Mentor was formerly known as Chesapeake Computer Consulting Inc. CCIE #1026,
Terry Slattery founded it. Peter Welcher from Mentor is the instructor on
the on-line CID course. He writes a monthly column for the CiscoWorld
magazine. Kennedy Clark the author of Cisco LAN Switching works there.
Others there have authored books. Several Mentor folks such as Marty Adkins
contribute to this list. Save those replies! Some years ago CCCI helped
write sections of the IOS.
I have no personal experience with Bruce Caslow's class. From hearsay I
believe that he developed the course before becoming involved with Mentor.
Several other instructors now also teach the course. There have been several
posts to this list from new CCIEs who mentioned Bruce's course as a
significant resource.
I believe that Mentor has created a place where really good people can
thrive. Hence they have the best instructors.
