Brian,
Just from thinking about it this seems like the same thing that
would happen on a "secondary interface". In OSPF the secondary interface
will not become a part an OSPF area unless the primary is included as well
the required OSPF network statements for the specific secondary interface.
Not looking to any references since your vlans are in effect a "secondary"
interface of sorts. The sub-interfaces will have to be covered under a
network statement as part of your OSPF configurations.
Does any of my thinking make sense here at all....
This is a good one to mock-up in the lab..
