I believe, and am very prepared to be proven wrong, that when sending the
update it *should* assume the mask of the sending interface since it is in
the same classful network. If it were in a different classful network, it
would assume a classful mask of 255.255.0.0.
However, it seems to be acting as though it is assuming a classful mask in
this case. Which means that you could get the "suppressing null update" due
to split horizon.
