You can get around the reply card. I had a friend of mine that is a lawyer
write me up a letter that I sent to them. It informed them that I would
meet their comment and purchase 1 book within the next 12 months but that I
would not be returning any reply cards unless they supply a stamp for each
one. Any books that I receive (I've gotten 4) due to the reply card system
would be kept and not paid for nor returned. After the 4th book they now
send me the mag every 3 to 4 week but no reply card. I've talked to several
other people that have done things similar to this. I have used this
process on 5 or 6 book clubs and several CD clubs. I purchase several books
via these clubs so it's worth my while to subscribe to their service but I
do not have the time to send in reply cards every other week. If they want
your business, and most do, they will allow you to purchase books without
the stupid reply card system.
