Ok, you're right, you could probably get $2-$3.5k. $1500-$2000 is all I
am paying for them however. Back in the days of policy routing, and
before WCCP was really perfected and supported, these boxes were more
valuable.
But today, You can build a 1Ghz intel based box, 1GB RAM, a few 10,000 RPM
drives, etc, etc and have a much better "local director".
List prices are subjective. I have an AIP (ATM Interface processor) its
new in box. It lists for about $17000, but I will gladly sell it to you
for $600.
