I am a CCNP and a CCDP and I took the security exam about a year ago and
passed it too. I also thought afterwards about pursuing the voice and atm
certs but the bottom line is that once you've gotten your NP and DP, the IE
is the next big step. The "specializations" are nice but once you get your
IE they really don't have alot of weight. I'm coming up on my R & S written
this friday. The specializations may help a little but the bottom line is
you have to know everything about every subject. It's enough to drive you
nuts. I'll post my results after the exam.
ps: The only time my "specialization" has been useful is when I started to
consult. The sales reps would throw it around at a client because it gave
them the perception that I was better than the next guy at working on a pix
or something. Humbly, I'm not.
