Yes, the written exam is going to be changed to a jury based oral 
examination. You will be seated in a wooden chair in the middle of a large, 
cold room. Bright lights will be pointed at your face. Then, a group of 6 to 
8 Cisco engineers will begin to ask you questions about the technologies 
covered in the CCIE blue print. Each time you miss a question you will be 
lanced with hot pokers.

If you pass the oral exam, they will tie you to the chair, carry you out the 
back door, and throw you in the river to see if you float. If you don't 
float, you were a CCIE lab candidate. If you do float, you are a witch and 
will be burned at the stake.

This new process should cut down considerably on the lab backlog...

Seriously, check the cisco web site, under CCIE Program, What's New, for 
updates about the exam and its contents. Don't go on hearsay...
