I have just completed my CCNP and I'm now planning how to prepare for
the Written CCIE exam. In looking over the objectives on the Cisco web
site, I made a checklist of ways to cover all the material. I would
appreciate help and suggestions on whether this path is feasible, and on
other resources I could use. For my CCNP, I relied on the Cisco Press
Books. Do these cover topics like OSPF, BGP, Frame-Relay, ISDN, VTP,
Spanning Tree, etc. in sufficient depth or do I need additional
resources on these subjects to pass the written exam? Here is my
checklist

Cisco Device Operation- rely on material from cisco press CCNA and
CIT books
General Networking Theory and IP and IP Routing Protocols- rely on CCNP
books and TCP/IP Routing by Doyle and Internetworking with TCP/IP by
Comer
Bridging and LAN Switching- rely on Rossi Token Ring paper and BCMSN
material and book
Desktop protocols- Can anyone recommend a good book for this topic?
Wan- rely on BCRAN book and can anyone recommend a good ATM book?
LAN- Is there a good book to read, or does the CCNP cover this material
in sufficient depth?
Performance Management, Security, and Multiservice- I thought that the
cisco web site would be the best source for this material. Any other
suggestions?

In summary, Is the CCNP material, the Doyle routing book, the Comer
Internetworking book, a good ATM book enough? If not, what else?
Thanks
