i use v.35 dce,dte cables
on the intface s0 which attach to the v.35 dce cable,i got the following:
routerA(config-if)#dce-terminal-timing-enable
%not allowed on dte interface
but if i use the command below:
routerA(config-if)#no dce-terminal-timing-enable
routerA(config-if)#dce-terminal-timing-enable
routerA(config-if)#clock rate 4000000
it does work.
use sh controll s0 i saw it was a dce cable!
just confused why i must use "no dce-terminal-timing-enable" first, then the
"dce-terminal-timing-enable" works!
also i just got a empty 2500 router, which means it's nvram is clear by
"write erase" then just reboot by power off!
