I've seen a million people ask about syslog for windows, but nobody has mentioned syslogd on Unix. I'm trying to find information on getting syslog on a Solaris platform to accept logging messages from Cisco routers. By default, the syslog service does not accept messages from external devices. I've found about 6 million links on how to get this working on Linux, but the Solaris version and the Linux version are different enough that those links have not been helpful. Anyone have a quick and dirty howto? (And please, no recommendations to install a linux host, or a windows host... That's not an option.) Thanks in advance, Alan _________________________________ FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
