All, =20
I have been working through some theory and everything I read shows =
a Serial interface ospf cost(10*8/BW) as being 64.
However, in working through some configurations I found this no to be =
true(possible IOS related bug). The basic setup.. with hub and spoke =
topology and I get the following

HUB:
Serial0.1 is up, line protocol is up=20
  Internet Address 172.168.100.5/24, Area 10=20
Process ID 1, Router ID 192.168.55.1, Network Type =
POINT_TO_MULTIPOINT, Cost: 64
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State POINT_TO_MULTIPOINT,
Timer intervals configured, Hello 30, Dead 120, Wait 120, Retransmit 5
    Hello due in 00:00:01

Spoke:
Serial0 is up, line protocol is up=20
  Internet Address 192.168.100.3/24, Area 10=20
Process ID 1, Router ID 172.168.30.97, Network Type =
POINT_TO_MULTIPOINT, Cost: 50
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State POINT_TO_MULTIPOINT,
Timer intervals configured, Hello 30, Dead 120, Wait 120, Retransmit=20

Spoke:
Serial0 is up, line protocol is up=20
  Internet Address 192.168.100.3/24, Area 10=20
Process ID 1, Router ID 172.168.30.97, Network Type =
POINT_TO_MULTIPOINT, Cost: 50
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State POINT_TO_MULTIPOINT,
Timer intervals configured, Hello 30, Dead 120, Wait 120, Retransmit 5

Now this isn't a major problem but I was wondering if confronted with a =
requirement in the lab to adjust the cost of how a specific route is =
seen on another router, do I first change this to reflect the standard =
ospf cost value(64) and then adjust the cost elsewhere to meet the =
requirement. I know there's more than one way to get these things =
done.. just wondering what everyone else suggest...

TIA
