Nope.  I just tried this yesterday with a 4006 and a 6509 and no go.  The
Cisco reseller information states it will work with MM fiber, but the GBIC
itself actually says 1300nm fiber (SM).  Here is a URL that has the info
you are looking for. (See the bottom of the chart)  This URL makes it seem
like there are two LX/LH GBICs available, but I only have a part number
for one.
