Hi, Here is a fun scenario I have - maybe someone else had that too. I am working on a lab with about 30 routers. All work fine (in terms of console) but two of the routers (26xx and 3640) dump weird funny characters after the initial two lines upon booting. I thought it was the baud rate or any config issue (with config register) but nope. When I plugged in another PC with hyperterminal - both of those routers work fine. Its only ONE PC that has a problem with only those two router (can see other 28 or so routers/switches fine). Can you folks think of some reason - WHY ?? The settings are 9600, 8, N, 1 NO FLOW CONTROL (tried others and tried other baud rates - same thing). All config registers are set to 0x2102. The PC thats not working with those two routers is a SONY VAIO with Windows 98 (the other is Win 95 but that shouldn't matter). Any thoughts - please drop me a note Thanks in advance Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=592&t=592 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
