Hi, Is it possible for me to connect a production WAN interconnecting two cisco routers with a microwave radio link in between through their ethernet interface? Or must it be through the serial interface. I have a cisco 2621 and 2511, with no add-on card. Which means, I just have 2 fastethernet interfaces on the 2621 and 1 serial interface with 1 ethernet interface on the 2511. The serial interface on the 2511 has been connected to another WAN. Am implementing a second WAN connection from the ethernet interface of the 2511 through a microwave radio-link using speedlan radios to 1 of the fastethernet interfaces in the 2621. After everything, 'show cdp neighbor' works fine on both routers. 'show ip route' also works fine on both router. Pinging is okay. But from does prompt in a workstaion attached to the 2611 router through a 3com switch 'tracert' did not work, though 'ping' works fine and I can not browse the ethernet either. What might be the problem? What am I missing out? Or is it that WAN connectivity can only be achieved through serial interface connection? ..?????? Many questions, few answers. Regards. Oletu.
