Hi all,
I am preparing for my CCIE written and I have been through quite a lot
of stuff but have some ambiguities. I hope you can help me out.
1. What is the result of sending a loop up signal to the CSU/DSU?
2. When converting a serial line between two routers to X.25 what needs
to be done?
Weell encap x25 to be configured with a map statement with a x121
address defined I think
3. What does an ip datagram contain?
now a datagram is basically a UDP thingi so there should be no TCP info
right nor any info about routing protocols hops, cost etc
4. Injecting 0.0.0.0 into an OSPF's AS causes what to happen?
I have read in Thomas's book on OSPF design that it causes the default
route to advertised as 0.0.0.0 even if there is another default route
specified. It sort of overrides it.
5. What will be the drawback in Fast ether channel?
My limited reading on the subject suggests that the drawback is that
all channels should be configured with the same parameters like the
same duplex mode, fault tolerance and load balancing etc
6. if you have a Novell IPX server and a router on the same LAN and they
have addresses configured on each other the only way that they are not
able to talk to each other is because the encapsulation is different
right??
7. IPXWAN this has been bothering me quite a lot I have found only small
pieces of info on this topic. Can you suggest some resource? Also
somewhere along the way I read that it is a substitute for IPX RIP is it
true??
8. If the number of scollision on a ethernet interface goes higher it is
a software problem. but on a serial line if the collisions increase it
is a hardware problem right?

thanks for the help.
Omer
