I have a switches internetwork with: S1 S2 C1 C2 D1 D2 A1 A2 S= server farm switch (Routing with MSFC) C= Core switch (Layer 2 only) D= Distribution switch (Routing with MSFC) A= Access switch A1 (is VLAN2) is connected to both D1 and D2. A2 (is VLAN3) is connected to both D1 and D2. D1 and D2 are running OSPF routing with HSRP. The question that I have is since D1 and D2 are running OSPF routing with HSRP. This provides Layer-3 load balancing, sharing and redundancy, Do I have to worry or configure Layer-2 connection from A1 and A2 to both D1 and D2?
