It is silly, but eventually I got tired of arguing with Cisco
training about changing their materials to reflect CIDR addressing.
Priscilla probably fought the same battle.
I suspect the chief reason was that they really didn't want to go
back and change materials. The second reason, however, is that
understanding the classful notation is important for RIPv1 and IGRP.
When I teach addressing, I always start with the CIDR-style, and,
only when that is well understood, add that there are some legacy
methods the students should know about.
