I bought one, last year, to use instead of the crappy DSL modem my
provider sent me. It works with the DMT Alcatel chipset, make sure your
DSL provider uses that method in the DSLAM. The early IOS releases were a
bit buggy, trying to get the PPPoE to work the way the DSL provider
expects. By now, it should be better (I dropped DSL for Cable, because of
the crappy service from the local DSL provider).
Full retail is around US$1000. Best feature isn't the DSL stuff, it also
has an ethernet connection and four VoIP FXS/FXO connections. You'd have
to spend several grand more to get these in a 1700 or 2600 router.
