Hi,

I have been thinking abt it and couldn't figure out so hope I can help some
pointers from this group. Sorry if the question sounds silly.

I do understand what a gateway is for but when it is configured in a router,
what exactly happens?

Will it do the same if I make an entry in the route table like 0.0.0.0/0
eth0

Effectively saying that for a particular destination, if it is not already
routed (by other entries in the route table) then just push the packet to
eth0 (presumably where the gateway is situated).

Thks.

Cheers,
Chee Leong
