PIX does NAT and PAT. NAT is when you have a range of IP addresses and
users "borrow" one each time they access the web. PAT is when you have only
one outside address and users can access the web by using different ports on
the same IP address. Proxy is very similar to PAT but it's usually software
based sharing of a single IP address.
My personal preference is NAT when possible...
I was a little vague on the descriptions but I hope that gives you an
overview of what you're looking for.
