Hi all,

Anybody experienced with the fairly basic Ciscoview package available as a
separate image on some switches (integrated on others)
I installed some Cat 4006's a few days ago. While I was on site the customer
asked if they were manageable from a browser. Bit of a bluff and a few
minutes later I downloaded the separate image for the Ciscoview package,
enabled http server and tried to set it up.
For some reason on that day we were having problems downloading the 5Mb Java
plug-in available from Javasoft, so as this was a bit of an extra, I said
I'd download the plug-in and send it to them.

I downloaded the plug-in, set up a 4000 at work and everything worked first
time on Win2000.
Customer says he's getting a blank screen after the enable password prompt.
This is the point where my Java plug-in takes over and I'm asked for SNMP
strings.
Set it up on a new NT machine, and I can't get it to break either.

Anybody know the details for the username prompt. I seem to be able to use
any username with the correct password. Is this only used for other
authentication methods such as radius/tacacs?
Don't seem to be able to do anything like a set username xxxxxx password
yyyyyy.

Anybody know any details of specific requirements for the client PC?

Details on CCO seem very limited. TAC is next, but I've been determined to
sort it myself until now.

Cheers,

Gaz
