Have you heard or read of an RSP for the 7xxx series routers ??? It's
virtually the same thing (processing engine), except the Supervisors are for
the Catalyst 5000's & 5500's. Things changed a little with the 6000 series
when they added MSFC's. Anything with an external processor is a more of an
upgradeable unit. If you ever got a hold of the bill of materials for such
a units, you would see so much for the chassis, boards, & power supplies.
This is usually not covered when working on the CCNA level stuff. I only
ever read about 2500's, 1900's, & 2900's (all integrated stuff) when I went
through ICRC (1600 was new then). Don't worry too much, all the routers
pretty much look the same form a Telnet, regardless the price :o)
