I wanted to ask this question myself..... but then I got to thinking......
if this is truly a time sensitive application, there's no way it would be
using TCP. In which case the receving end just assumes the packets are in
order (since UDP doesn't use sequence numbers like TCP does).
So to the original poster, is this data of a "time sensitive" nature or a
"mission critical" nature. That makes a big difference...... very very very
important data ("mission critical") may not be "time sensitive" and could
use TCP which would guarantee reliability from end to end....
