This sounds suspiciously like a homework assignment.  ;-)

I don't feel like being the content police today, but this is probably
off-topic and better suited for a programming forum.  

Then again, if you're looking for someone to answer a question like
that, there are a few on the list who just might be able to do it.  If
someone answers your question and you get an "A", do they get paid for
it?

Here is a Brain teaser
In Network Address Translation (NAT), one ip address has to be
substituted with another.  When this happens, the ip-layer
checksum must be recalculated.  What is the quickest way possible
to do this operation, and give your own flavour of pseudo (or real
if you want) code to show how it is done.
