Passed CID today, this was my second attempt and the only test in the long
journey in acquiring my CCNP and now CCDP, which I had to take more than one
time. I will have to agree with many that this test has vague questions,
and
many of the TRIVIA type, such as which version of the IOS implemented this
or
that feature.
I had just taken Global Knowledge's classroom CID training weeklong class
and
though that I could take the test the following week. I ordered a Boson
test
for a quick review and only had a couple of days to use it. A day after
taking the test and failing I received an email from Bernard, the author of
the test warning about the difficulty of the exam, unfortunately a day late
and $100 shot for me!
I doubt that second test included 20 per cent of the questions that I was
presented with on the first test. However, I now had reread the Sybex CCDP
study guide, and reviewed the areas that I was previously weak in: SNA and
Desktop protocols. I also read the good book by Priscilla Oppenheimer on
network design; however, this was relevant to real-world design, the test I
took was from another world I think!!
Used the above mentioned items for study as well as several months of
lurking
around here on groupstudy.
Will take a week break and then on to concentrated study of the CCIE
material
in pursuit of my ultimate goal.
Note * What others have said and I experienced this is a difficult test! It
humbled this old man - but ultimately success, study hard for this one and
you to can pass it.
Thanks to ALL in the group for sharing your thoughts and questions.
Possibly Oldest CCNP/ and now CCDP on the study list
