What is the problem you are trying to solve? If you are trying to manage IP address space for customers (you being their ISP), ARIN recommends using SWIP or RWhois for reassignments. More information on these tools is available on their website. http://www.arin.net/ http://www.rwhois.net/ If you are trying to build subnets and supernets, you might want to look at http://ipsc.sourceforge.net/ Any subnet calculator will do, I just happen to like this one. If you are trying to manage a large allocation or large blocks of private addresses, you will want a spreadsheet (e.g. Unix sc, MS Excel) or DB. Having hooks to your DNS from these types of tools is also very nice. I really appreciate it when people use CNAME records instead of multiple A records, so a simple zone dump of just the A records will show all IP addresses. Having good reverse DNS also really helps. Maybe use `uniq' if multiple A records are used, or something similar. Using an IRR and the RAToolSet can also be of use for managing IP addresses. RtConfig and CIDRAdvisior are especially useful with matching IP addresses to routing policies. I mean, what else do you do with IP addresses besides route them? http://www.radb.net/ http://www.isi.edu/ra/ If you are trying to map IP addresses based on location, you will probably want to look into the DNS LOC record (RFC 1876). Tools like http://www.ipmapper.com and http://www.caida.org/tools/utilities/netgeo/ are also recommended to look into for this purpose. If you have no idea what any of the stuff is above, try this site: http://www.geektools.com/ If all you want to do is buy a Cisco product that might help you (please don't really do this): http://www.cisco.com/go/cnr or worse, a Lucent one, http://www.lucent.com/products/solution/0,,CTID+6-STID+10345-SOID+1068-LOCL+ 1,00.html but, again, that's not really recommended. -dre ""Jnickys"" wrote in message [EMAIL PROTECTED]">news:[EMAIL PROTECTED]... > Hi, > > I am looking for IP Address space Administration Tools.
