I did change the config-register to 0x2102 (that's what was shown in "sh
version"). Yet the router still boots to rommon. I will try issuing the
confreg 0x2102 command in rommon, but I don't see how that will help.

Would the fact that this router is actually a route switch module using a
flash card possibly change the configuration steps?
