I was going to get a 2509, but opted for the older 500-CS series Com
Server. I have the 516, which has 16 Console ports and operates almost
identically to the 2509 Term Server. IMHO, unless you want extra Serial
ports for your lab, the 500 is the less expensive alternative.
**Incidentally, I won't give specific numbers, but I paid less than half of
what a used 2509 would cost on ebay.
