interesting you should mention this. I once worked with a CCIE who claimed
he was the world's leading expert on IPX using EIGRP He worked at Major
California Bank and claimed over 15,000 routers in the organization.

And on the flip-side, I'm sure there are those Cisco CCIE # < 3000 that
don't have tons of experience with a wide variety of things.  Perhaps there
are those that got their CCIE, got a job with a firm, and only use
EIGRP......

It's more than possible......

Which brings me to a big gripe of mine.  People assume that if you have 5
years experience, that it's5 years of experience as opposed to the the same
1 year of experience 5 times over.  I've dealt with plenty of network
engineers with "years and years" of experience on a network with EIGRP that
had NO CLUE that EIGRP used multicast........  sad.......
