SNMP just polls the interfaces listed in ifIndex. It doesn't care whether
those interfaces are virtual or not. Virtual interfaces get a listing in
ifIndex just as physical interfaces do. Thats why the ifIndex values can
change if you change the config of your router or switch. Adding and
removing modules will do the same thing. The ifIndex values are re-figured
every time the device is rebooted/restarted and all other interface specific
SNMP values use that ifIndex value to identify the individual interface
being polled.
