Hi All,
I have tried to let the multicast traffic passing through the PIX firewall
using Version 5.1 with the following command.
access-list 100 permit icmp any any
access-list 100 permit tcp any any
access-list 100 permit udp any any
access-group 100 in interface outside
access-list 101 permit icmp any any
access-list 101 permit tcp any any
access-list 101 permit udp any any
access-group 101 in interface inside
Everything(ping, ftp) seems to work execpt the multicast traffice (media
player, IP/TV).
For the IP/TV, the viewer can get the content from the server. but cannot do
start to play the program. It is same as when I am using the media player to
access the Microsoft Media Server.
I have tried to access the Multicast Server inside the LAN, and the server is
working.
Do I have to set up anything to make the PIX to pass through the multicast
traffic?
Thanks.
Francis
