most likely reverse DNS...
Try putting your ip address in the unix box's host file.
If that works then DNS is configured improperly.
(or you could kill identd or whatever identification daemon is running)

Hi folks,
Please advise me on the below:
PC1-----PIX------Router----------Router----PIX----PC2
PC1 = nt-box
PC2 = unix box
framerelay is connected between the two routers
PIX codes are 5.2(6)
My problem is that when I initiate a telnet session to PC2(unix box), the
tcp session establishes right away. But I have to wait for about 30-60
seconds to see the login screen.
What is the potential problem in this? Is it on the pix or on the
router? Thanks for any help.
