what do you mean by "bring it down" ?

a 6509 out of the box has a thirty two gig backplane. four x 3548s at
theoretical best can only consume 16 gigs.

recall that the best uplink scenario on a 3548 is 4 gigs ( full duplex ) up
and back.

I suppose buffers can fill, and packets can be dropped, or blades can hang.

One more reason for non blocking wire speed, I suppose ;->

Can a Cisco 3500 switch that have 48 computer running some type of packet
generator bring down a Cisco 6509, even though it is in its own Vlan.
Theoretically, it should not but I want other opinions. Note how about four
3500's with same scenario
