An even more likely scenario is that the MIB counters in 12.1 are broken. To check this I'd compare what MRTG is reporting to output from a "show int" on both sides. Cisco seems to have a lot of problems with their counters for some reason.
John >>> "Erick B." 10/23/01 9:15:24 PM >>> Jenny, Are you sure MRTG is polling the right MIBs? I'm not really familiar with SNMP monitoring of cisco routers and MIBs involved, but 11.2 and 12.1 are big difference in versions. Chances are between 11.2 and 12.1 some MIB objects changed. Clearing the counters, and doing 'show int' on both interfaces might show they are indeed somewhat balanced. # of packets output close to same on each int, etc. HTH... --- Rik Guyler wrote: > Gosh Jenny, I don't have a clue but in the past I've > had to reboot equipment > at times to make a few rare changes take full effect > so maybe you're > correct.
