SmartNet! (unless it's still under warrantee) That person probably fried a chip on the board. If you were really good with an oscilloscope and had the schematics, I'd say go for it! If not, SmartNet is the way to go! Off the top of my head, I think it's a category 2 or 3. It'll probably cost you around $150 to purchase smartnet for it.
