Sharon, The snmpget command will give you the real time value for that counter at that precise moment. That might not be very useful. You also need to know the exact MIB value you are looking for. You may want to get the overall result at which point you will need a dedicated SNMP software to do the analysis for you. HP Openview does a good job at this but it is an expensive solution. You may want to search the web for SNMP tools shareware and look for a utility that will graph the data for you and also a MIB browser. Food for thoughts.
