Router on a stick is a term used to refer to a router with a fast/Gig ethernet interface connected to a Multi-Vlan trunk providing routing services between multiple vlans. The name "router on a stick" refers to the way the router appears in a network diagram. i.e. only one physical connection to the network instead of multiple physical connections.
