Hello all, I know that on a 5000/5500 that there are alot of limitations on monitor (span) ports.
However, I have a 2900 and need to have 2 ports monitor all of the others (i.e. have port 21 monitor ports 1-20 and also have port 22 monitor ports 1-20). Can the 2900 do this? I gave the commands on the two ports to have them both monitor the same port and it accepted the command. FastEthernet 0/21 port monitor fast0/1 speed 100 duplex full spanning-tree portfast ! FastEthernet 0/22 port monitor fast0/1 speed 100 duplex full spanning-tree portfast Does anyone know of any specific limitations regarding this scenario? I would have left the config like this to test it, but it's a production box and didn't wanna take a chance on downing it.... but it took the command so I would think it's possible. TIA! Mike W.
