I used this book--among others--to study for the written and I found it helpful. However, don't rely upon only this book. My study method for the written was as follows:
1. Pick a topic. In my case I used this particular guide and would read a chapter. 2. Go to CCO and read up on that particular topic 3. Find another study guide or website and read up on the topic there. I made it a goal to get information on each topic from at least three different sources. That's a good way to make sure you cover all the topics fairly well. Make sure you really understand what you're studying before moving on to another subject. There are also many testing engines available to gauge your readiness for the exam. I've heard the Boson tests are good. Personally, I subscribed to CertificationZone and found the study guides to be *very* helpful and their tests were more difficult than the actual exam. I know I answered more than you were asking, sorry. :-) HTH, John >>> "ko haag" 1/17/02 2:08:49 PM >>> What do you all think about the CCIE Sybex study guide by John Swartz and Todd Lammie? Also, is there anyone serious about the CCIE written in the riverside, orange county area in Ca that would like to study.
