After being idle for a few months I've picked my studies back up. After reading the Cisco Press Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks book cover to cover. I've learned a lot about the theories of VTP, STP, MLS etc. What I don't know how to do is basic configuration tasks.
So, I downloaded Ole's switch training tool. It's great! It has some good practical things that you should know how to do. My question is can anyone give a list of practical things you should be able to do from memory without using the trusty "?". example... Show a detailed list of MLS entries. Add 1234-1234-1234 128.34.12.34 to the routers arp table. I learn best when I have problems to solve. For some reason you never forget you have to disable smtp fix protocal on a PIX when you spend a couple hours trying to figure out why mail is not relaying even when you're permitting smtp traffic.
