What is the main difference between VTP and GVRP?? also, how does GVRP maintain consistency of all the vlans (can it run on server mode, client mode or transparent much like vtp)? can it also run on ISL tags or does it have to be 802.1Q??
Also, regarding mac-based vlans... does VTP change the ports VLAN ID once a a registered NIC plugs into a switch configured for it? if not, then how does mac-based vlans work?? thanks.. any insight would help.. alvin Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=32723&t=32723 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
