I think the downside to a simply "copy tftp flash"--and the reason for
these instructions--is that you will disconnect yourself from the remote
router with no way to monitor the progress of the transfer.  If you
follow these instructions you'll be able to telnet to the router and
monitor the transfer.  If something goes wrong, because you're in rxboot
mode you have the capability to do some troubleshooting and start
another transfer.

If you had simply used "copy tftp flash", your only option would be a
road trip, assuming you didn't have a dialin modem.
